Tascheleia offers the following levels in Belly Dance:

Level 1: Beginner Belly Dance

If you are looking for a class to take for fun and excercise, this is the one. The objective of Level 1 Belly Dance is to give the student a well rounded introduction to Belly Dance while excercising the body and having a lot of fun.

Level 1A: Advanced Level 1

If you have taken Level 1 Belly Dance at least once and you have decided that you would like to learn more, than this is the place for you.

Level 2: Intermediate Belly Dance

Level 2 Belly Dance is where we really begin to focus on technique and style. I have to be honest and tell you that Level 2 is not easy and you should complete at least one full year of Belly Dance classes before beginning this level.

Level 2A: Advanced Level 2

Most of my students take Level 2 atleast twice before attempting Level 2A. My personal prerequisite for this level is that the student can successfully play triplets on their hand cymbals and can perform at least one version of the 3/4 shimmy.

Level 3: Advanced Belly Dance

Congratulations you have made it to the final level where we will be focusing on the finishing touches that will enable you to go on to workshops where some of the world's greatest Belly Dancers will be your teachers... This is the level where every thing you have learned comes together, so be prepared!

Level 3A: Peer Class

Once you have successfully completed level 3, you can move on to the Peer class where you will have the opportunity to improvise and share in the choreographic experience, now taking full responsibilty for your dance!!! Instead of being 'instructed', you and your peers will be 'facilitated' in an enthusiastic environment of sharing.

Level 4: Tascheleia's Oriental Dance Troupe ~ 'Halem al Sahara' ~ 'Dreaming in the Desert'

Some dancers may reach a point where they feel like they would like to perform more and need a greater chanllenge...if so, please contact me and let me know that you are interested in performing on a professional level.
